Logistic Head (Rajkot)

Job Summary The Logistics Head will be responsible for managing and optimizing end-to-end logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory, transportation, and dispatch. This role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, and operational excellence across the supply chain while maintaining high service levels. A Logistics Head typically oversees the movement, storage, and distribution of goods while ensuring efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities1 . Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Oversee complete logistics operations (inbound, outbound, returns)
- Plan and optimize transportation and delivery routes
- Ensure smooth movement of goods from warehouse to customer
- Manage courier partners and 3PL vendors The role involves coordinating transportation, inventory, and distribution to ensure timely deliveries and efficiency. 2. Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Monitor warehouse operations (picking, packing, dispatch)
- Ensure inventory accuracy and stock control
- Reduce losses, damages, and dead stock
- Implement WMS systems and process improvements Warehouse operations include receiving, storing, and shipping goods while maintaining inventory accuracy. 3. Cost Control & Performance Optimization
- Manage logistics budget and reduce operational costs
- Optimize shipping cost, packaging cost, and manpower utilization
- Track KPIs like delivery TAT, RTO %, and order accuracy Cost management and efficiency improvement are core responsibilities of logistics leadership roles. 4. Team Management
- Lead warehouse, dispatch, and logistics teams
- Hire, train, and monitor staff performance
- Ensure discipline and productivity on the floor 5. Vendor & Partner Management
- Negotiate rates with transporters and courier companies
- Maintain robust relationships with logistics partners
- Monitor vendor performance and service quality 6. Process Improvement & Strategy
- Develop logistics strategies for scaling operations
- Implement automation and technology in logistics
- Identify bottlenecks and improve workflow Logistics heads define strategy and ensure smooth execution across supply chain functions. 7. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure warehouse safety standards
- Maintain compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- Monitor audits and documentation Key RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree (Logistics / Supply Chain / Business / Engineering preferred) Experience
- 2–4+ years in logistics / warehouse operations
- 1–3+ years in leadership or managerial role
- Experience in e-commerce / warehouse operations (preferred) Skills Required
