About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions.

The role will primarily focus on using Microsoft Fabric for data integration, transformation, storage, and analytics enablement. The candidate should also be comfortable evaluating and implementing custom Azure services when a specific business or technical use case requires additional capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.

• Build, manage, and optimize data pipelines for reliable data movement and transformation.

• Develop lakehouse and warehouse solutions using OneLake and related Fabric capabilities.

• Create data transformation workflows using SQL, PySpark, Spark notebooks, or similar

technologies.

• Integrate data from databases, APIs, files, cloud applications, and other business systems.

• Implement data quality validation, monitoring, exception handling, and troubleshooting

processes.

• Prepare structured and reliable datasets for reporting, analytics, and Power BI consumption.

• Optimize pipeline performance, data storage, and processing efficiency.

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and

deliver practical solutions.

• Identify scenarios where custom Azure services may be required beyond Microsoft Fabric.

• Maintain clear technical documentation and follow development and deployment standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• 4 to 6 years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or analytics engineering roles.

• Strong hands on experience with Microsoft Fabric and its data engineering capabilities.

• Experience with Fabric pipelines, Data Factory capabilities, lakehouses, warehouses,

notebooks, or OneLake.

• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, transformation, and data validation.

• Experience with PySpark, Spark, or similar large scale data processing technologies.

• Valuable understanding of ETL or ELT processes, data modeling, and modern data architecture.

• Experience integrating data from multiple sources and delivering analytics ready datasets.

• Ability to troubleshoot data pipeline failures, performance issues, and data quality challenges.

• Strong analytical, problem solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with relevant Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage,

Key Vault, Logic Apps, or Azure Data Factory.

• Familiarity with Power BI, semantic models, or reporting data requirements.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD processes, deployment pipelines, or Azure DevOps.

• Understanding of data governance, security, access controls, and monitoring practices.

• Experience working on enterprise data platforms or cloud based analytics solutions.
