Role & Responsibilities

Administer and manage anesthesia for open-heart, valve replacement, CABG, TAVI, and minimally invasive cardiac surgeries with precision and real-time adaptability. Lead intraoperative hemodynamic monitoring, including transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), arterial line, central venous pressure (CVP), and pulmonary artery catheter (PAC) management. Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and ICU teams to optimize patient outcomes during and after cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Manage postoperative pain, ventilation, and early mobilization strategies in cardiac ICU while preventing complications like arrhythmias, low cardiac output, or coagulopathy. Participate in pre-anesthetic evaluation, risk stratification, and optimization of high-risk cardiac patients prior to surgery. Initiate, document, and audit clinical protocols while mentoring junior anesthesiologists and fellows in advanced cardiac anesthesia techniques.
