Machine Shop Production Supervisor (Jharkhand)

Role & responsibilities
- Plan and achieve daily production targets during the shift as per schedule.
- Supervise VTL,HMC and VMC machining operations for productivity and quality.
- Perform machine setting, proveout, and CNC program editing/optimization.
- Support operators in tooling selection, offsets, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure components meet drawing, tolerance, and surface finish requirements.
- Monitor cycle time, setup time, and machine utilization.
- Control rejection and rework through quick root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Manage shift manpower, job allocation, training, and discipline.
- Maintain safety, PPE compliance, and 5S activities on the shop floor.
- Prepare shift reports covering production, downtime, quality, and handover notes. Preferred candidate profile
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 4-8 years of experience in CNC machining with HMC & VMC exposure
- Solid handson knowledge of machine setting, proveout, and CNC programming/editing
- Experience with Fanuc controls and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T;
- Good knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, tooling optimization, and machining parameters
