Company Description Confidential company (GBSS) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 2020 under the Societies Registration Act 21 of 1860, rooted in an initiative started in 2019 by young rural development graduates inspired by Swami Vivekananda. GBSS is dedicated to holistic rural development in India, with a strong focus on reviving the strengths of traditional Indian culture to support modern community needs. The organization works across key pillars such as education, rural livelihoods, health and sanitation, women’s empowerment, sustainable agriculture and agri-clinics, social capacity development, advocacy, social justice, environmental care, and rural entrepreneurship. GBSS aims to make services more accessible to rural communities, raise awareness about social issues that hinder progress, and encourage youth participation in village-level development. Its overarching goal is to strengthen rural populations for self-reliance and sustainable growth. Role Description This full-time Intern role is a hybrid position based in Ranchi, with a combination of in office fieldwork and some work-from-home flexibility. The intern will support project teams in planning and implementing community-based initiatives related to education, health, livelihoods, women’s empowerment, and sustainable agriculture. Day-to-day responsibilities may include collecting and organizing field data, assisting in community outreach and awareness campaigns, supporting training sessions and workshops, and preparing basic reports or documentation for ongoing projects. The intern will help coordinate with local stakeholders, community members, and partner organizations to ensure smooth execution of activities. The role also involves contributing to research, assisting in monitoring and evaluation tasks, and providing general administrative support to project and program staff.
