Head Production (Kim)

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute monthly production schedules aligned to customer orders and billet inventory.
- Supervise Production Managers for Extrusion, Finishing, Foundry, and Die Shop.
- Monitor press utilisation, shift-wise output, die changes, and billet recovery rates.
- Drive OEE improvements through downtime reduction and process optimisation.
- Coordinate die correction, extrusion trials, and new profile qualifications with the Die Shop.
- Interface with Maintenance for preventive maintenance scheduling and breakdown escalation.
- Report daily/weekly production MIS to Plant Head and ensure dashboard accuracy.
- Enforce SOP adherence, shift handover protocols, and visual management systems.
- Implement Lean/TPM practices to reduce cycle times and non-value-added activity.
- Coordinate with Quality on rejection root causes, CAPA, and first-pass yield metrics. Qualifications & Experience
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Production Engineering.
- 12–16 years in aluminium extrusion manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Hands-on knowledge of direct/indirect extrusion presses, alloy specifications (6000-series), and die management.
- Robust exposure to production planning, shift management, and MIS reporting.
- ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 awareness preferred. Core Competencies
