Acoustics Design Engineer (Karnataka)

Design / Senior Engineer Acoustics Experience Required : 4-10 Years Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Acoustics Design Engineer / Senior Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for acoustical and vibration consultancy services including noise assessment, sound isolation, room acoustics, vibration analysis, and environmental noise studies across various building and infrastructure projects. The role involves technical design, acoustic modelling, field measurements, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering cost-effective acoustical solutions aligned with project timelines and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Perform acoustical and vibration analysis, modelling, and design for various projects.
- Conduct environmental noise surveys, vibration measurements, and field inspections.
- Design soundproofing, noise isolation, and vibration mitigation solutions.
- Prepare acoustical calculations, technical reports, drawings, and project documentation.
- Work closely with architects, MEP consultants, and engineering teams to integrate acoustical requirements into project designs.
- Utilize acoustical modelling and drafting software such as CADNA-A, CADNA-B, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Excel.
- Review architectural and engineering drawings to identify acoustical design requirements.
- Develop innovative and cost-effective acoustical solutions for clients.
- Assist and mentor junior engineers in acoustics and vibration-related assignments.
- Participate in research and development of new acoustical techniques and methodologies.
- Prepare project proposals and support the commercial team during bidding and estimation stages.
- Coordinate review-based projects and ensure timely project delivery.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and schedule commitments.
- Attend client meetings, technical discussions, and presentations to explain acoustical design concepts and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with international and local acoustical standards, regulations, and codes. Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of acoustics, noise control, vibration analysis, and sound mitigation techniques.
- Experience in computational acoustical modelling and noise mapping.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, CADNA-A/B, SketchUp, and MS Excel.
- Good understanding of acoustical materials and installation techniques.
- Ability to prepare detailed technical reports and presentations.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and client management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Architectural Engineering / Physics / Acoustical Engineering or related discipline.
- Master’s specialization in Acoustics or Noise & Vibration Engineering is preferred. Preferred Experience
- Experience in acoustical consultancy for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, transportation, or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of international acoustical standards and environmental regulations.
