Sr. Project Engineer - Electrical Design (Karnataka)

; This position is responsible for designing Electrical systems for mining machines and associated equipment. The role involves control panel design, Cable harness design and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
- ;Design and develop electrical systems for LV panels and 24VDC control system
- ;Oversee creation of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings for control panels.
- ;Integration of Electrical system with Cabin, Operator panel, Engine controls, Lights, safety systems, Hydraulic systems
- ;Design of system architecture, PLC I/O signal list, CAN bus layout
- ;Selection and sizing of electrical circuit brakers, Fuse, Relays and Components
- ;Designing electrical control box, distribution box, Operator panels
- ;Integration of all the control components as per the system architecture and cable routing
- ;Design of cable harness drawings, routing layouts and BOM
- ;Experience of high voltage (800Vdc) electrical component integration, design & development on products, particularly HV & LV systems and sub systems.
- ;Experience in electrical system design compliance standards, EMC, Vehicle safety and Functional safety
- ;Experience of working with HVDC components such as inverters, DC-DC converters
- ;Awareness of VA/VE techniques, cost reduction, optimization & feasibility verification
- ;Prepares project documentation and participates in design review at various design phases
- ;Co-ordinate with global R&D; team for the projects & work independently.
- ;Performingchecking and approving design calculations as required
- ;Value addition and suggestions for improvements as applicable ; Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering (preferably in mining or heavy industrial equipment) ; Tools: Teamcenter PLM, AutoCAD Electrical, Creo ; Education: Masters or bachelor s in electrical and Electronics Engineering from a reputed institute ; Competence:
- ;Strong technical knowledge of electrical power and control systems
- ;Knowledge of electrical systems of mobile machinery
- ;Experience of diesel engine control and Battery Electric Vehicle controls
- ;Electrical protection systems (overload, short circuit, earth fault).
- ;Knowledge in relevant ISO standards such as EN60204
- ;Deep understanding of safety standards and risk management for Electrical systems
- ;To be able to make electrical diagrams with AutoCAD Electrical tool, knowledge and experience of Teamcenter is a plus.
- ;Knowledge of hydraulic systems and drive trains.
