The HVAC Design Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, and development of HVAC systems for various projects. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC principles, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Software Proficiency: Utilize HVAC software tools such as HAP for load calculations, duct sizing, and equipment selection for chillers, AHUs, fans, FCUs, etc.
- HVAC System Design: Design HVAC systems for various projects including industrial, tech parks, commercial, and retail stores, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop detailed HVAC design plans, including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork, and piping layouts.
- Site Assessments: Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather necessary information for accurate design and planning.
- Technical Drawings and Specifications: Create and review technical drawings and specifications using CAD software.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate HVAC systems into overall building design. Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in HVAC design engineering.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, TRACE).
- Robust knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and principles.
- Experience with energy modeling and sustainable design practices.
