Aircraft Structural Repair Engineer (Karnataka)

The Structural Repair Engineer is responsible for ensuring the timely return-to-service of commercial aircraft by delivering optimal structural repair solutions that meet airworthiness standards, minimize maintenance costs, and uphold safety. This role involves design and/or stress analysis, stakeholder coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience Required : 6 years Key Responsibilities: Repair Assessment & Solution Development Assess damage scenarios using appropriate inputs and aircraft configuration drawings Perform hand calculations and/or computer-based analysis Propose and evaluate structural repair solutions considering time, cost, and safety Utilize existing technical and airworthiness delegations to develop approved repairs for aerostructures (Pylon / NCF/ FAF/ Highlift/ RFE) Stakeholder Collaboration Liaise with cross-functional teams including Design, Stress/Fatigue, Materials, and Performance Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to validate assumptions and ensure compliance Documentation & Approval Prepare technical justification documents (Design and/or Stress) Secure necessary approvals for repair solutions Respond to customer technical queries related to repairs Fleet Standards & Data Analysis Propose standard repairs for fleet-wide updates to SRM, ISB, etc. Analyse in-service data to initiate corrective actions and follow-ups Ensure compliance with KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD ) Continuous Improvement & PM Support Identify and support local business improvement initiatives Ensure timely response, effective monitoring, and reporting Required Skills & Expertise: Strong foundation in structural design and/or stress analysis (including F&DT;) Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure Flexibility to operate in a multicultural, international workplace Passion for solving real-world in-service aircraft structural issues Ideal Candidate Attributes: Excellent communication and influencing skills Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous learning Strong interpersonal skills to foster collective problem-solving Ownership and clarity in defining contributions to team goals Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.in/job/4n9m5l
