Assistant Accountant (Roorkee)

managing day-to-day financial transactions, inventory control, and statutory compliance within the software. The role bridges traditional accounting with supply chain operations, commonly focusing on billing, ledger maintenance, and generating financial statements. Core Responsibilities Day-to-Day Accounting: Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal vouchers directly into the Marg software.
- Billing & Invoicing: Generate accurate sales invoices, process wholesale orders, and handle debit/credit notes.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Maintain real-time stock updates, batch tracking, and expiry tracking (highly utilized in pharma and retail distribution).
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure no discrepancies.
- Taxation & Compliance: Compute taxes and generate Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filings.
- Financial Reporting: Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and prepare balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and budget
