We are looking for a highly qualified Piping Engineer to join our team, acting as a technical reference in multidisciplinary offshore platform projects, with a strong focus on industrial piping. Role Overview The Piping Engineer will be responsible for the development, coordination, and technical execution of the piping discipline in multidisciplinary offshore platform projects — including topsides, jackets, modules, and marine structures. The role requires solid experience in piping design and analysis, the ability to coordinate across disciplines, and the capability to interact directly with clients, suppliers, and classification societies, ensuring that solutions are technically robust, constructible, and aligned with project objectives. Main ResponsibilitiesPiping Engineering and Technical Execution
- Develop and manage detailed 3D piping models using tools such as AVEVA E3D, SmartPlant 3D, PDMS, and Plant3D.
- Produce 2D technical drawings, P&IDs;, isometrics, piping layouts, plot plans, and line lists using AutoCAD and related tools.
- Define piping classes/specifications and select materials, including CS, SS, duplex, super duplex, CuNi, and GRE/GRP, in accordance with ASME B31.3, B31.1, B31.8, DNV-ST-F101, and NORSOK L-001/L-002/L-003.
- Conduct flexibility and stress analyses in CAESAR II, considering typical offshore loads such as blast, fire, wave, wind, deck deflection, fatigue, and accidental loads.
- Specify and size supports, anchors, guides, expansion joints, anti-vibration supports, and tie-ins between modules.
- Interface with mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and process disciplines, ensuring fully integrated design solutions.
- Support layout optimization, constructability, and compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.
- Generate and manage Bills of Materials, BOMs, MTOs, line lists, weld lists, and complete technical documentation for the discipline.
- Ensure the technical accuracy and consistency of all engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Specify welding requirements, non-destructive testing, NDT, PWHT, and hydrostatic/pneumatic testing for offshore piping.
- Lead and participate in model reviews, including 30%, 60%, and 90% reviews, with clients, classification societies such as DNV, BV, Lloyd’s, ABS, and other disciplines.
- Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, yard integration, and load-out phases of the structures.
- Integrate specialized knowledge of offshore processes and equipment into piping projects. Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the piping discipline on offshore projects, including topsides, jackets, FPSOs, modules, and fixed or floating platforms.
- Fluent English, spoken and written, with the ability to communicate technical and commercial information clearly and professionally.
- Proficiency in CAESAR II for piping stress analysis is mandatory; AutoPIPE is considered a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. AVEVA E3D, SmartPlant 3D, PDMS, and Plant3D are considered advantages.
- Strong knowledge of offshore codes and standards, including ASME B31.3, B31.1, B31.8, ASME Section VIII, API 6A, API 17D, DNV-OS-C101, DNV-ST-F101, NORSOK L-001/L-002/L-003/M-601/M-630, and ISO 13628.
- Understanding of offshore processes and equipment, such as separators, pressure vessels, utility systems, production systems, and export systems.
- Experience in multidisciplinary platform projects, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation interfaces.
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management and technical document management systems, EDMS.
- Expertise in generating BOMs, MTOs, isometrics, line lists, weld lists, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with willingness to represent the company at a senior level with clients and partners.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet demanding deadlines. Preferred Attributes
- Previous experience in offshore oil & gas, offshore wind, or marine structure projects, including jackets, topsides, FPSOs, and modules.
- Experience in large-scale EPC, EPCI, or EPCM projects in the offshore sector.
- International experience or shipyard mobilizations.
- Intermediate or advanced Spanish.
- Familiarity with classification societies such as DNV, BV, Lloyd’s, and ABS, as well as client engagement practices with European clients.
- Proactive and autonomous professional with strong problem-solving skills.
