Role Summary We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented General Manager to oversee operational, financial, and strategic management of farmland assets and agricultural operations. The role involves managing farm operations, improving productivity, handling stakeholders, and driving sustainable growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic & Operational Management
- Develop and execute operational strategies to improve farm productivity and efficiency.
- Plan long-term agricultural and land development initiatives.
- Identify growth opportunities and optimize land utilization. 2. Farm & Asset Management
- Oversee day-to-day farm operations and land management activities.
- Manage leasing, tenant coordination, and farm productivity monitoring.
- Ensure effective use of agricultural resources and infrastructure. 3. Financial Management
- Prepare and manage operational budgets and cost controls.
- Track financial performance and profitability metrics.
- Monitor expenses, revenue generation, and ROI improvements. 4. Acquisition & Development
- Support evaluation of new farmland opportunities and expansion projects.
- Coordinate land development activities such as irrigation, fencing, and infrastructure improvements. 5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with agricultural, environmental, and land regulations.
- Implement safety and risk mitigation practices.
- Coordinate with legal and regulatory authorities when required. 6. Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong relationships with investors, tenants, vendors, and partners.
- Provide operational and performance updates to management.
- Coordinate with agricultural consultants and advisors. 7. Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise farm managers, field staff, and contractors.
- Set performance goals and monitor team productivity.
- Build a culture of accountability and operational excellence. Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Real Estate, Finance, or related field.
- 48 years of experience in agribusiness, farm operations, land management, or agricultural projects.
- Strong understanding of agricultural operations and land management.
- Good financial planning and budgeting knowledge.
- Robust leadership and negotiation skills. Preferred Skills
- Experience in farmland or agricultural asset management.
- Knowledge of sustainable farming practices.
- Exposure to land development or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in reporting tools and operational tracking systems. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
