Role Summary: The role is responsible for
- Overall engineering execution of different projects of Essar starting from Conceptualisation of facility and its engineering execution, carry out engineering activities for engg delivery aiming at first time right dleievry, complete & correct dleeivries in respective areas
- Coordination with engineering consultants, EPC contractors
- Synchronising, Improving, Establishing and managing the processes for scope completion & interface management.
- Front End engineering of Integrated Pellet Projects and Steel Plant projects
- Plant Engineering
- Basic & detailed engineering of Iron Ore Pellet Projects and Steel Plants
- Layout development for Steel Plants
- Value engineering- reliability and sustainability
- Engineering delivery as per target timelines and quality
- Review/ providing technical solutions to resolve issues
- Compliance to all safety, statutory & environmental norms during Engineering
- Implementing best practices to achieve benchmark KPIs and total cost of ownership
- To have interpersonal and technical skills. Interpersonal skills include communication, decision making, team building and leadership abilities.
- Technical skills include overall brief knowledge of technologies of various processes in a steel plant & iron ore processing, state of art engineering practices/design systems with hands on experience on various related engineering deliverables. Key responsibilities:
- Conceptualize the various process units of Plant/Project, scope and finalize the technology selection.
- Optimize the scope of external agencies and evolve implementation methodology.
- Devise plan / Control mechanism to ensure achievement of engineering plan as per stakeholder expectations and within estimated cost & time.
- Evolve systems / mechanisms for Engineering completeness & correctness checks/balances
- Take complete responsibility for engineering deliverables of the project by the way of checking and owning the complete project deliverables.
- Reviewing performance to suggest corrective action & manage any changes in the scope of the Design & Engineering project.
- Evaluating, assessing, and selecting recent technology suppliers and equipment vendors. Partnering with them to develop new/alternate technologies/product. Preferred candidate profile
- Minimum 10 years in D&E; of any process units or Balance of Plant of Steel Plant.
- Communication and written articulation skill
- Analytical skill
- Going in depth, work on different options before putting forward for decisions.
- Experienced personnel from Engg Consultancy organisations.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
