Security Engineer (Salem)

Key Responsibilities: •Vulnerability/Exploit/Malware research and content creation in the form of signatures and alarm specifications •Threat intelligence research •Testing security modules of NIKSUN products, such as IDS, Anomaly, Blacklist, Threat Intelligence, etc. •Demo script preparation to showcase security features Required Qualifications: •2-5 years of work experience and solid knowledge of network security •Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSI layers, UDP, etc.) and network security concepts (IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption) •Experience with open-source packet tools (snort, tcpdump, wireshark, etc.) •Demonstrated working knowledge of Windows and UNIX based operating systems •Experience with UNIX shell languages (SH, BASH, CSH, etc.) Desired Qualifications: •Knowledge of packet-level analysis •Knowledge in writing and optimizing IDS rules •Experience with source code control applications (eg., Gitlab, CVS, SVN) •Knowledge and experience with at least one programming language (eg., Python, C/C++) •Knowledge and use of Windows Office365 products Educational Requirements:
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science
