As our client portfolio continues to expand, we are looking for a talented Freelance Website Designer to collaborate with us on a project basis. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and creative Website Designer with expertise in Wix, Squarespace, and Shopify. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for design, user experience, and modern website aesthetics, along with the technical ability to build responsive, high-converting websites. This is a freelance, project-based role where you will be engaged on an as-needed basis and compensated per website project. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop visually appealing websites using Wix, Squarespace, and Shopify.
- Create responsive website layouts optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Design landing pages, eCommerce stores, service-based websites, and brand websites.
- Customize website templates and layouts to align with client branding and business objectives.
- Integrate forms, booking systems, payment gateways, and other website functionalities as required.
- Optimize website structure, navigation, and user experience.
- Collaborate with the Digital Pepper team to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality websites within agreed timelines.
- Perform website updates, revisions, and quality assurance testing before launch.
- Ensure websites follow current design trends and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience designing and developing websites on Wix, Squarespace, and Shopify.
- Strong portfolio showcasing completed website projects.
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles and responsive design.
- Experience creating websites for fashion, lifestyle, hospitality, luxury, service-based, or eCommerce businesses is preferred.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or similar design tools.
- Knowledge of Shopify themes, product setup, collections, and store design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and project management skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Experience with website speed optimization.
- Understanding of branding and digital marketing.
- Experience integrating third-party apps and tools. Compensation
