Group Company: Jindal Stainless Limited Designation: Associate Manager Office Location: Sector: Mining & Metals Position description: The Associate Manager in the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) department at Jindal Stainless Limited plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of plant equipment and infrastructure within the mining and metals industry. This position demands a strategic and hands-on leader who can oversee maintenance planning, optimize resource utilization, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and equipment reliability. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and industry knowledge to support the company’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainable growth. Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Lead and supervise the MRO team to ensure timely execution of maintenance activities while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to manage MRO spare parts and materials, optimizing stock levels to reduce downtime and costs.
- Analyze equipment performance data and maintenance records to identify trends, root causes of failures, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering and production departments to plan shutdowns, overhauls, and major repairs with minimal impact on production schedules.
- Manage vendor relationships and service contracts to ensure quality and cost-effective maintenance services and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in all maintenance operations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance performance, KPIs, and project progress to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance maintenance efficiency and reduce operational risks.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the MRO department. Skills:
