Junior Engineer (Central QA), Jajpur

Daily&Shift Planning - Prepare inspection and disposition plan aligned with production&planning schedule - Ensure proper shift handovers and continuity Monitoring&Coordination - Monitor inspection activities (visual and system-based) - Coordinate with Production, QA, Dispatch, and Planning teams Inventory&WIP Tracking - Monitor hold, rework, and pending inspection lots - Maintain accurate updates in SAP&Excel systems - Identify and manage aging inventory MIS&Reporting - Prepare daily inspection and disposition reports Key Challenges Maintaining real-time alignment between SAP&HMI system data and shopfloor status Key Decisions Made by Job holder - Routine disposition decisions (OK / Hold / Rework as per standards&SOP) - Inspection prioritization during shifts Recommendations to Superior - Major quality deviations and downgrades - Process improvement and system enhancement suggestions Interactions Internal Interactions - Production teams (CRM, Finishing Lines) - Quality Assurance / Quality ControlSkills and Knowledge Educational Qualifications BSC/Diploma in Metallurgical / Mechanical / Production Engineering Total Years of Experience 2–5 years Functional Skills - Surface defect identification in stainless steel products - Use of Computer, digital micrometre, Vernier, grade gun (XRF), Elco meter, etc. - Understanding of Stainless-steel manufacturing processes - Working knowledge of SAP&HMI (material tracking, QA modules) - Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety practices, and customer specifications.
