Structural Design Engineer (Bihar)

Job Description: Structural Design Engineer Location: Patna, Bihar Reports To: Experience Required: 6-9 Years Position Summary The Structural Design Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality structural designs for bridge structures, including both substructure and superstructure components. The role involves analysis, design, detailing, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Structural Design & Analysis
- Understand and interpret customer design requirements and project specifications
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations (load, stress, stability, etc.)
- Prepare detailed structural designs, drawings, and technical reports
- Develop General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) and detailed RCC and steel designs
- Design bridge components (substructure and superstructure) as per IRS and IRC standards
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of all design deliverables
- Cross-verify input data and validate design outputs
- Coordinate with COEs and project teams to gather required design inputs 2. Customer Satisfaction & Delivery
- Ensure timely delivery of all project outputs as per contractual requirements
- Maintain high standards of quality aligned with customer expectations
- Meet Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) parameters defined in the contract
- Build and maintain robust professional relationships with clients
- Contribute to improving customer satisfaction metrics and perception 3. Process & SOP Compliance
- Participate in the development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure strict adherence to established SOPs at project and organizational levels
- Promote consistency, efficiency, and quality through process compliance Required Qualifications
- Education:
- M.Tech in Structural Engineering (preferred)
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering Technical Skills(Mandatory)
- Proficiency in:
- STAAD Pro
- MIDAS Civil
- AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of IRS and IRC codes and standards
