- Operations & Business Development (Makhana Plant) Location: Motipur, Muzaffarpur ( Bihar) Company: Rootpure Wellness Private Limited Salary: 1,00,000
- 1,50,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience & performance) About the Opportunity We are launching a new Makhana Processing Plant in Motipur, Bihar, and are looking for a highly experienced, entrepreneurial, and result-driven Director to lead the business from the ground level. This is a leadership role in a startup environment where the selected candidate will be fully responsible for establishing, managing, scaling, and driving the complete operations and business growth of the plant. The candidate will work closely with the management and will independently handle end-to-end plant operations including setup, production, team building, sales development, procurement, administration, profitability, and overall execution. Key Responsibilities 1. Plant Setup & Operations
- Lead the complete setup and operational execution of the new Makhana plant.
- Develop systems, workflows, operational processes, and reporting structures.
- Ensure smooth production, processing, packaging, and dispatch operations.
- Maintain quality standards and operational efficiency.
- Monitor productivity and reduce operational wastage/costs. 2. Business Development & Sales
- Develop sales channels and market strategies for Makhana products.
- Build distributor, wholesale, retail, and institutional sales networks.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence.
- Drive revenue generation and business growth.
- Coordinate with branding and marketing teams for product positioning. 3. Team Building & Leadership Hire, train, and manage plant staff, supervisors, and sales teams.
- Create a strong work culture and performance-driven environment.
- Build operational systems and ensure accountability across departments.
- Lead the complete team independently. 4. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Manage procurement of raw Makhana from farmers and suppliers.
- Develop strong vendor and supply chain relationships.
- Monitor inventory, stock movement, and logistics operations.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials and packaging supplies. 5. Financial & Administrative Management
- Monitor operational expenses, profitability, and business targets.
- Prepare MIS reports and regular business performance updates.
- Ensure smooth coordination between operations, sales, procurement, and accounts.
- Maintain discipline, operational control, and administrative efficiency. 6. Strategic Growth & Expansion
- Contribute to long-term business planning and scaling strategies.
- Identify opportunities for automation, branding, and product expansion.
- Support the company in building a strong Makhana brand in the market.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives. Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Food Technology, Agriculture, or related field.
- Minimum 10
- 12 years of experience in operations, agro-processing, FMCG, food manufacturing, or plant management.
- Strong leadership, execution, and startup management capability.
- Experience in building teams and handling independent business operations.
- Strong understanding of sales, operations, procurement, and business development.
- Ability to work in a startup environment and take ownership of complete business functions.
- Willingness to work full-time at Motipur, Bihar. Ideal Candidate Profile
