SENIOR SURVEYOR (Bihar)

Job Description Key Responsibilities
- Conduct topographical, contour, and boundary surveys
- Establish and maintain survey control points and benchmarks
- Perform layout marking for:
- Roads
- Buildings
- Foundations
- Pipelines
- Transmission structures
- Verify elevations, alignments, and coordinates during construction
- Operate survey instruments such as:
- Total Station
- DGPS/GPS
- Auto Level
- Drone survey systems (in some projects)
- Prepare survey reports, drawings, and as-built documentation
- Coordinate with:
- Civil engineers
- QA/QC teams
- Site execution teams
- Consultants and contractors
- Ensure survey accuracy according to project specifications and safety standards
- Monitor earthwork quantities and measurement records
- Support billing measurements and progress verification Required Skills
- Robust knowledge of:
- Surveying techniques
- Coordinate systems
- Leveling and traversing
- Construction drawings
- Experience with software like:
- AutoCAD
- Civil 3D
- GIS/survey processing tools
- Ability to read structural and civil drawings
- Familiarity with large industrial/power projects Qualification Usually one of the following:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering
- ITI Surveyor trade
- B.Tech/B.E. Civil (preferred for senior positions) Experience Requirement Typical NTPC/EPC contractor expectations:
- 5–15 years of surveying experience
- Experience in:
- Power plant projects
- Industrial construction
- Infrastructure projects
