JRF Position at the Department of Chemical Engineering at NIT Rourkela | ANRF–ARG Project | Immediate Joining | Convertible to PhD We invite applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position to join our research group in the Department of Chemical Engineering, National Institute of Technology (IIT) Rourkela, under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) – Advanced Research Grant (ARG)- funded project (with IIT Guwahati). Project Title: Development of bio-based terminal cyclic carbonate via CO2 capture and conversion in a semi-continuous process. Location: Department of Chemical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Rourkela ➡️ Essential Qualification: ✔️ B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering/Technology/Material Science and Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Science and Engineering OR M.Sc. in Chemistry/Material Science/Environmental Science/ or in any other related branch. ✔️Minimum 60% of marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale. ✔️ Prior hands-on experience in wet lab experimentation and analysis and sound knowledge of different analytical methods such as GC/HPLC, FTIR, UV Vis spectroscopy etc. is necessary. ✔️The candidates should have experience handling reactors and conducting lab-scale synthesis. Experience / Skillset & Desirable Qualification: ⏩ Strong preference will be given to candidates having ✔️ Previous qualification of GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR-JRF or equivalent fellowship. Interest/motivation to join PhD program at NIT Rourkela. ✔️ Knowledge of Catalysis and Reaction Engineering at undergraduate level. ✔️ Knowledge of numerical coding using Python and MATLAB is an added advantage but not a limiting criterion. Duration: 36 months (After 24 months, Position will be upgrated to SRF, based on performance).
