Power Electronics Engineer (Sangli)

As a Power Electronics Engineer, you will design the power backbone of our hardware: battery systems and BMS, DC-DC converters, motor drive power stages, and the protection that keeps it all protected. You will own these designs from topology and prototype through validation and field debugging.

Day-to-Day Activities

- Design power electronics for our platforms: DC-DC converters, motor drive power stages, and inverters
- Design and integrate battery packs and battery management systems (BMS)
- Engineer for high current, thermal management, and efficiency across the duty cycle
- Select magnetics, passives, and power semiconductors for performance and reliability
- Design protection circuits for overcurrent, overvoltage, and thermal events
- Prototype, test, and validate power systems under load and thermal stress
- Ensure EMI/EMC compliance of power subsystems
- Coordinate with the motor drive, PCB, and mechanical teams on integration
- Debug power-related faults observed in the lab and in the field

Requirements and Qualifications

- 5+ years of professional power electronics design experience
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Electronics Engineering
- Strong command of converter topologies (buck, boost, and related) and control
- Experience with BLDC/PMSM motor drive power stages
- Hands-on experience with battery systems and BMS design or integration
- Solid thermal design skills and experience with high-current PCB layout
- Experience designing protection circuitry and ensuring safe operation
- Strong lab validation skills under load and thermal stress

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

- Experience with EV, AGV, forklift, or robotics power systems
- Exposure to high-voltage design and safety practices
- Magnetics design experience (inductors, transformers)
- Familiarity with industrial power qualification standards
