Job Description: Faculty– Societal Immersion, Spirituality and Morality (SISM) University: MIT Art, Design and Technology University (MIT ADT), Loni Kalbhor, Pune Institute: School of Holistic Development Position: Full Time Faculty Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India Employment Type: Full-timeSalary: Upto 30K per month basis experience About the SISM Course The Societal Immersion, Spirituality and Morality (SISM) course is a cornerstone of MIT ADT University’s commitment to value-based education. The course aims to bridge the gap between academic excellence and social responsibility. It designs transformative experiences for students through direct community engagement, exposure to grassroots social realities, and the exploration of universal spiritual and moral values to foster empathetic, ethical leadership.Key Responsibilities 1. Teaching and Curriculum Delivery - Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate interactive sessions on social issues, community dynamics, morality, ethics, and universal spiritual values. - Contextualize the importance of social work and moral philosophy for students across diverse streams (Engineering, Design, Management, Art, etc.).- Mentor students during their reflective sessions, helping them connect grassroots field experiences with theoretical frameworks of morality and citizenship. 2. Fieldwork&Societal Immersion Management - Design, organize, and execute community immersion programs, rural camps, and NGO visits for large batches of students. - Establish and maintain strong partnerships with local communities, NGOs, Gram Panchayats, and social enterprises for student placement and projects.- Supervise and guide students on-site during their field immersion, ensuring safety, discipline, and meaningful community impact. 3. Evaluation and Mentorship - Grade and evaluate student journals, reflective essays, presentations, and field project reports. - Provide continuous mentorship to students, guiding them through ethical dilemmas, social sensitivity training, and personal value alignment.4. Administrative&Institutional Roles - Coordinate with various institutional heads within MIT ADT University to seamlessly integrate SISM into different academic calendars. - Maintain meticulous documentation of field visits, student attendance, feedback, and impact assessment reports of the SISM initiative. - Participate in university events, faculty development programs, and committees as required.Required Qualifications&Skills Education - Essential: Master of Social Work (MSW) from a recognized and reputed University/Institute. - Preferred: Ph.D. in Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, or a closely related field, OR a qualified NET/SET score. Experience - Minimum 2–5 years of experience in teaching, field coordination, or working directly in the development sector (NGOs, CSR, social enterprises).- Proven track record of organizing community outreach programs, rural camps, or social awareness campaigns. Core Competencies&Attributes - Deep understanding of Social Realities: Strong grasp of grassroots social issues, rural development, and community mobilization. - Alignment with SISM Values: High level of personal integrity, empathy, and a strong inclination toward spiritual, ethical, and moral philosophy. - Excellent Communication: Strong command over English and Marathi (essential for community coordination) to interact effectively with both urban students and rural communities.- Leadership&Event Management: Ability to manage large groups of students on the field, handle logistics, and mitigate risks during off-campus visits.
