The Scrub Nurse will prepare operating rooms, ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and organized, and assist surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after procedures. Responsibilities include performing surgical counts, maintaining a sterile field, anticipating the needs of the surgical team, and handling instruments and equipment safely. The Scrub Nurse will collaborate closely with circulating nurses, anesthetists, and surgeons to support patient safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to infection control and hospital protocols. The role also involves pre-operative and post-operative coordination, clear communication with multidisciplinary staff, and maintaining professional conduct in high-pressure environments.Qualifications Strong foundation in Nursing with current registration/license as per local regulatory requirements. Knowledge of Surgery and Operating Room procedures, including sterile techniques, instrument handling, and intraoperative safety protocols. Experience assisting in Orthopedic Surgery and general surgical specialties is highly desirable.Understanding of basic Medicine principles related to perioperative care, patient assessment, and monitoring. Prior experience as a Scrub Nurse or in an operating room setting preferred. Ability to follow protocols, prioritize tasks, and remain calm and focused during complex or emergency procedures.Effective communication skills, teamwork, and a patient-centered, ethical approach to care. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or equivalent) from an accredited institution. Willingness to work part-time shifts as required by surgical schedules in Hyderabad.
