Project Manager (Drone Operations), Raniganj

Responsibilities (would include but not be limited to the following): Project Planning and Execution: Develop, implement, and monitor project plans for drone mapping and LiDAR projects, ensuring deliverables are achieved within agreed timelines and quality standards. Oversee project workflows to meet client expectations.Technical Scope and Estimations: Evaluate technical requirements outlined in RFPs,assess project feasibility, and prepare precise cost and resource estimations. Support business development teams with technical inputs for proposals. DGPS Surveys: Provide leadership and technical expertise in DGPS surveyoperations, ensuring accuracy and the seamless integration of survey data into project workflows. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of 60-75 pilots and 30-40 drone operations teams across India. Provide training, mentorship, and support to enhance team productivity and ensure operational excellence.Permissions and Clearances: Handle regulatory approvals and clearances with relevant authorities such as DGCA, Digital Sky, MoD, MHA, and local authorities. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Client Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for clients, understanding their requirements, providing regular project updates, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.Operations Management: Plan and execute large-scale drone operations across diverse geographic locations. Ensure safety protocols and compliance measures are consistently followed. Resource Optimization: Effectively allocate and manage resources, including manpower, drones, and equipment, to optimize productivity and operational efficiency.Compliance and Reporting: Prepare detailed project reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and compliance with all regulatory and operational requirements. Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges, ensuring minimal disruptions to project timelines and deliverables.Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geospatial Science, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred. 8-10 years of experience in managing drone operations, mapping, and LiDAR projects, with demonstrated expertise in DGPS surveys. Strong knowledge of DGCA regulations, flight permissions, and operationalcompliance requirements. Proven ability to evaluate technical scopes in RFPs and prepare cost estimations. Proficiency in geospatial data processing and the integration of LiDAR and drone survey outputs. Advanced project management skills with proficiency in tools like MS Project, Primavera, or similar.Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic project demands. Willingness to travel extensively across India. Certifications: Mandatory: DGCA Drone Pilot Certificate. Preferred: PMP or equivalent project management certification.
