Responsibilities:
- Perform and manage all aspects of percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including coronary angiography, balloon angioplasty, and stent deployment.
- Lead and assist in complex lesion and CTO management procedures using advanced techniques and equipment.
- Conduct structural heart procedures, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and other minimally invasive interventions.
- Utilize intravascular imaging modalities (IVUS and OCT) to guide decision-making and optimize procedural outcomes.
- Provide immediate and effective management of acute myocardial infarction (MI), including primary PCI in emergency settings.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, radiologists, and nursing teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all procedures, patient histories, and follow-up plans.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, clinical guidelines, and research in interventional cardiology.
Requirements:
- MBBS degree with postgraduate qualification in MD/DNB in Cardiology (or equivalent).
- Fellowship or advanced training in Interventional Cardiology (preferred, but exceptional candidates with foundational training may be considered).
- Proficiency in performing coronary angiography, balloon angioplasty, stent deployment, and managing complex coronary lesions.
- Demonstrated experience or training in CTO management and structural heart procedures.
- Hands-on experience with intravascular imaging (IVUS and OCT) for lesion assessment and stent optimization.
- Strong clinical acumen in the diagnosis and management of acute MI and high-risk coronary syndromes.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills in high-pressure environments.
- Commitment to patient safety, procedural excellence, and continuous learning.
- Valid medical license and registration with the appropriate medical council (e.g., NMC).
- Willingness to work in a rapid-paced, 24/7 emergency cardiac care setting.
