Not your typical hotel front desk job. At Mashru, the front desk is the heartbeat of the property. We’re looking for someone who can handle guests warmly, manage day to day operations smoothly, solve small problems before they become big ones, and help us run the property like a well-paced mountain morning. Since Mashru is a boutique riverside estate with a smaller team, this role goes beyond reception work. You’ll be involved in guest experience, coordination with housekeeping and kitchen, bookings, local recommendations, staff supervision, and overall smooth functioning of the property. We are open to candidates who may not have luxury hotel experience, but are smart, dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable taking ownership. Preference will be given to candidates from Himachal Pradesh, Tirthan Valley, Kullu region, or those who have previously worked in mountain hospitality and can settle into the role quickly. Role Responsibilities: Guest Experience & Front Desk
- Handle check-ins and check-outs smoothly
- Manage guest communication before and during stays
- Create and manage guest WhatsApp groups for stay coordination
- Assist guests with activity planning, local recommendations, transport, and requests
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues calmly and professionally
- Ensure guests feel welcomed, informed, and cared for throughout their stay Operations Coordination
- Coordinate daily with housekeeping, kitchen, and service staff
- Ensure rooms are ready, and property standards are maintained
- Monitor guest requests and follow through until completion
- Help maintain service quality across the property
- Assist in stock tracking and basic operational management Reservations & Administration
- Manage OTA bookings and booking calendars
- Handle basic billing and payment coordination
- Maintain reservation records and guest data
- Coordinate with management regarding occupancy, staffing, and operational updates Team & Property Management
- Supervise daily staff functioning when required
- Help train junior staff and maintain discipline/work culture
- Step in wherever needed during busy periods
- Maintain a calm, solution-oriented attitude during operational challenges Preferred Skills
- Experience in hospitality, hotels, cafés, homestays, or guest relations
- Comfortable speaking in English and Hindi
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to handle bookings/emails
- Good communication and people skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Practical problem-solving mindset
- Familiarity with Tirthan Valley/Himachal tourism is a strong advantage What We’re Looking For: Someone reliable over someone “perfect.” A person who:
