Methoding Designer For Foundry Howrah

The Methoding Designer is responsible for designing gating and feeding systems for castings to ensure defect-free production with optimum yield and productivity. The role includes preparing methoding layouts, riser and runner design, simulation coordination, and supporting pattern/tool development for foundry operations.

Key Responsibilities Methoding & Casting Design Design gating, runner, riser, and feeding systems for castings. Prepare methoding layouts for sand casting, investment casting, or die casting processes. Optimize casting yield and reduce rejection. Select proper feeding and solidification methods.

Simulation & Analysis Coordinate casting simulation activities using software like MAGMASoft, AutoCAST, ProCAST, or AnyCasting. Analyze shrinkage, porosity, and filling defects. Modify designs based on simulation results.

Pattern & Tool Coordination Work with pattern shop and tooling teams. Prepare pattern allowances and core design details. Support pattern correction and trial activities.

Production Support Assist foundry production during current casting development. Troubleshoot casting defects and process issues. Improve productivity and casting quality.

Documentation Maintain method sheets and process documentation. Prepare BOMs, layouts, and technical reports. Ensure compliance with customer specifications.

Required Skills Solid knowledge of foundry processes and casting solidification. Understanding of gating and risering principles. Ability to read engineering drawings and 3D models. Knowledge of casting defects and remedies. Familiarity with CAD software.

Pay: ₹20,000.00
