JOB PROFILE: Quality Control Engineer Department: Quality Control Location: Howrah, West Bengal Reports to: Quality Control Manager The Quality Control (QC) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This includes developing and implementing quality inspection processes, analyzing test results, identifying defects or areas for improvement, and driving corrective actions to maintain product consistency and compliance. Tasks:
- Perform in-process and final inspection of raw materials, components, subassemblies, and finished products.
- Develop and maintain inspection procedures, checklists, and test protocols.
- Conduct dimensional, visual, functional, and environmental testing as per applicable standards.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, calibration logs, and non-conformance reports.
- Prepare and review QC-related documentation such as test certificates, inspection reports, and batch release notes.
- Monitor and analyze production processes to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
- Ensure products comply with applicable industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, IEC, etc.).
- Support internal and external quality audits and implement audit findings.
- Liaise with production, design, procurement, and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Provide feedback to improve product design and process capability. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficient in using measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, multimeter, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Experience in electronics, electromechanical assemblies, or sensor-based product manufacturing.
- Minimum Exp. 3 years – Quality Control
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
