Senior Accountant (Howrah)

We are looking for a Senior accountant for our client a Plastics Manufacturing and Packaging industry. The candidate must have 3+ years experience in tally prime. Client Industry: Plastics Manufacturing and Packaging Job Location- Jangalpur, Jalan Industrial Complex, Howrah
- 711411 (Nearby residents preferred) Job Timings- 11.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. (Monday to Saturday) Salary- 25,000 to 60,000 per month (depending on experience) Role & responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, cash vouchers, bank vouchers, and payment processing.
- Prepare monthly financial statements like Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statement, etc.
- Manage GST compliance including GST return filing, reconciliation, input credit verification, and statutory documentation.
- Ensure timely deduction and filing of TDS returns and compliance with Income Tax regulations.
- Perform bank reconciliation statements (BRS) and monitor daily banking transactions.
- Maintain vendor and employee payment records and ensure timely payments.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities when required.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards. Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS Compliance, and Payroll Processing.
- Proficiency in Bank Reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Positive understanding of accounting principles and taxation.
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com preferred).
- 3 years of experience in accounting and statutory compliance roles.
- Experience in manufacturing/trading industry will be an added advantage. Preferred Candidate Profile
