PLC-SCADA Engineer / Industrial Automation Engineer (Darjeeling)

Experience: 1–3 years Location: Kolkata / West Bengal Job Summary We are looking for a PLC-SCADA Engineer with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, control panel troubleshooting, field sensor integration, and site commissioning. The candidate should be able to support automation projects from programming and testing to installation and commissioning. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Ladder Logic, FBD, or Structured Text.
- Design and configure HMI/SCADA screens, alarms, trends, tags, reports, and user interfaces.
- Connect and troubleshoot field sensors, transmitters, switches, encoders, actuators, valves, VFDs, and control devices.
- Perform I/O checking, loop checking, panel testing, machine trials, and commissioning.
- Read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, I/O lists, and P&ID; diagrams.
- Support installation and commissioning of automation systems at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot PLC panels, field wiring, communication faults, sensor issues, and machine interlocks.
- Work with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, RS-485, Ethernet/IP, or OPC.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, production, maintenance, and project teams.
- Prepare documentation such as I/O lists, FAT/SAT reports, backups, commissioning reports, and basic manuals. Required Skills
- 1–3 years experience in PLC, SCADA, HMI, instrumentation, or industrial automation.
- Hands-on knowledge of at least one PLC platform: Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Delta, or Omron.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA tools such as WinCC, FactoryTalk, Ignition, Wonderware/InTouch, TIA Portal HMI, or similar.
- Basic understanding of sensors, VFDs, motors, relays, contactors, control panels, and electrical wiring.
- Ability to troubleshoot using PLC online monitoring, multimeter, laptop software, and wiring drawings.
- Positive understanding of industrial control systems and networking. Kolkata SCADA listings commonly mention PLC/SCADA programming, HMI design, industrial networks, electrical drawings, controls schematics, AutoCAD, and troubleshooting skills. Qualification (Minimum): Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in: Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Instrumentation Engineering ECE Mechatronics Industrial Automation Preferred Skills
