Instrumentation Engineer (Valsad)

Role & responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain all field instruments such as sensors, transmitters, control valves, PLC systems, and SCADA.
- Attend breakdowns and troubleshoot instrumentation faults during shift.
- Ensure minimum downtime of production equipment.
- Perform routine calibration of instruments (temperature, pressure, flow, level, etc.).
- Maintain calibration records as per FSSC / ISO / GMP standards.
- Ensure instruments are within acceptable tolerance limits.
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Prepare and update maintenance checklists.
- Coordinate with production team for maintenance planning.
- Handle PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Basic programming/troubleshooting of PLC systems (Siemens/Allen Bradley preferred).
- Monitor control loops and optimize performance.
- Maintain logs for breakdown, calibration, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits (FSSC, ISO, internal audits).
- Update SOPs and work instructions.
- Follow GMP, HACCP, and food safety protocols.
- Ensure no contamination risk from instrumentation activities.
- Maintain hygiene standards in production areas.
- Follow plant safety guidelines and permit systems.
- Ensure safe handling of tools and instruments.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Coordinate with production, QA, and utility teams.
