We are Hiring for GM Operations for our Reputed Tyre Assembly Manufacturing with Core Expertise in Manufacturing Operations and Machine Maintenance background. Position Summary The General Manager Operations & Machine Maintenance will be responsible for leading end-to-end plant operations, production performance, maintenance management, productivity improvement, process optimization, quality compliance, and safety excellence. The role demands strong exposure in manufacturing operations, machine reliability, preventive maintenance systems, TPM, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Operations Management
- Lead complete manufacturing and production operations of the plant.
- Ensure achievement of production targets as per business plan and customer requirements.
- Drive productivity improvement initiatives across manufacturing lines.
- Monitor Plan vs Actual production performance and ensure productivity above target levels.
- Analyze capacity utilization and initiate corrective actions for underperformance.
- Ensure optimum manpower utilization and operational efficiency.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ensure uninterrupted production through proper production planning and material availability.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, SCM, and Stores teams.
- Ensure FIFO practices are followed for raw materials and production inventory.
- Drive cost reduction and process optimization initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, process controls, and manufacturing standards.
- Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Lead shop floor management and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure daily review of KPIs, production losses, and operational bottlenecks. Machine Maintenance & Engineering
- Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for plant machinery and utilities.
- Ensure high machine uptime and equipment reliability.
- Develop TPM culture across the manufacturing facility.
- Monitor machine breakdown hours and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation for critical failures.
- Ensure timely maintenance planning and shutdown execution.
- Manage hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical maintenance activities.
- Coordinate calibration, utility maintenance, and equipment reliability programs.
- Ensure proper spare parts planning and inventory management.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs including MTBF and MTTR.
- Support installation, commissioning, and stabilization of new machinery.
- Drive energy conservation and utility optimization initiatives. Quality & Process Excellence
- Ensure product quality standards are achieved as per customer and internal specifications.
- Drive First Time Right (FTR) and defect reduction initiatives.
- Analyze customer complaints and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure process discipline and compliance with SOPs and quality systems.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance teams for process improvement.
- Ensure adherence to ISO / IATF standards and audit requirements. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to EHS and statutory compliance requirements.
- Promote protected working practices across shop floor operations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
- Ensure implementation of TPM and 5S standards throughout the plant.
- Drive employee awareness on safety and operational discipline. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and operational excellence.
- Conduct regular reviews, training, and skill development programs.
- Drive employee engagement and workforce discipline.
