We are looking for a Lead Engineer – Vehicle Engineering (Energy Management) to drive vehicle performance, fuel efficiency, and energy optimization initiatives across Commercial Vehicle platforms. The role involves cross‑functional leadership, advanced simulation, testing & validation, and data‑driven analysis. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage cross‑functional teams (CFTs) for vehicle technical discussions and data sharing
- Manage field operations, documentation, and vehicle data analysis
- Generate and implement ideas for vehicle performance & fuel efficiency improvement
- Identify and analyze powertrain losses and risks with proposed technical solutions
- Prepare technical reports and highlight risks/gaps to leadership
- Support verification & validation of automotive standards and processes
- Conduct and analyze DTL & Coast‑down trials (simulation & physical testing)
- Perform contribution analysis for efficiency improvement Qualifications
- BE / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering Required Skills
- Vehicle Aerodynamics – drag reduction & road load optimization
- Drivetrain efficiency – axle, transmission, engine loss reduction
- Vehicle frictional losses – tyres, brakes, propshaft, wheel ends
- Vehicle performance simulation & prediction
- Complete CV vehicle aggregate knowledge (powertrain efficiency & functionality)
- WLTP & real‑world performance testing
- Physical measurement of Fuel Efficiency across emission cycles
- Electric Vehicle systems – EPT performance & battery range prediction Preferred Skills
