Bridge Engineer (Srinagar)

JOB DESCRIPTION – Roads & Bridge Engineer Role Overview: The Roads & Bridge Engineer shall be responsible for planning, designing, execution supervision, quality control, monitoring, and technical coordination of road, bridge, highway, culvert, and allied infrastructure projects. The engineer shall support DPR preparation, surveys, estimation, construction supervision, contract management, and compliance with applicable IRC/MORTH/CPWD standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise construction, rehabilitation, upgradation, and maintenance of roads, bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and allied infrastructure works.
- Review and verify drawings, estimates, BOQs, specifications, and DPRs related to road and bridge projects.
- Conduct site inspections, surveys, alignment verification, and progress monitoring.
- Ensure execution of works as per approved drawings, technical specifications, IRC/MORTH guidelines, and quality standards.
- Monitor pavement layers, subgrade preparation, embankment works, drainage systems, bridge components, and structural works.
- Verify measurements, quantities, contractor bills, and work progress reports.
- Coordinate with survey teams, geotechnical experts, contractors, consultants, and government departments.
- Ensure implementation of safety standards, environmental safeguards, and traffic management measures during execution.
- Maintain project documentation including MBs, progress reports, site records, test reports, and inspection reports.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, quality assurance, dispute resolution, and contract administration.
- Review laboratory testing reports related to concrete, aggregates, soil, bitumen, steel, and pavement materials.
- Monitor compliance with approved timelines and recommend corrective measures wherever required. Eligibility Criteria:
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from recognized institution/university.
- Minimum ____ years of experience in roads, highways, bridge, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in DPR preparation, supervision, quality control, or execution of road/bridge projects.
- Knowledge of IRC, MORTH, CPWD, BIS, and related engineering standards.
- Experience in hill roads, bridges, eco-tourism infrastructure, or government projects shall be preferred. Technical Skills:
