Job Title: Electrical Engineer Location: Surat Department: Production Reports To: Production Manager Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Electrical Engineer for our Textile Printing Machine Manufacturing Division. The employee will be responsible for supporting electrical assembly, control panel wiring, system integration, and basic automation activities within the production environment. This role will involve working on industrial control systems, machine wiring, and assisting in PLC-based machine operations. Structured training will be provided in PLC programming, control systems, and machine automation. The ideal candidate should possess strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, a keen interest in industrial automation, and the ability to work in a precision-driven manufacturing setup. Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Execute and monitor electrical assembly activities related to textile printing machinery, including panel wiring and machine-level electrical integration.
- Perform control panel wiring, cable routing, ferruling, lugging, and termination as per approved electrical schematics and standards.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and Bill of Materials (BOM) prior to execution.
- Support installation and integration of PLC systems, HMI interfaces, sensors, drives (VFD/Servo), and field instruments.
- Assist in PLC wiring, I/O mapping, and basic logic understanding during machine commissioning (training will be provided).
- Ensure proper routing and dressing of cables to maintain panel aesthetics, safety, and serviceability.
- Conduct continuity checks, insulation testing, and pre-commissioning electrical inspections.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults, control panel issues, wiring errors, and machine-level electrical failures.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Design, and Automation teams for seamless integration of electrical systems into machine assemblies.
- Support machine testing, dry trials, and commissioning activities from an electrical standpoint.
- Maintain accurate documentation including wiring checklists, panel inspection reports, and electrical test records.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, grounding practices, and company SOPs.
- Adhere to 5S practices and maintain discipline in panel wiring and shop floor activities. Key Skills and Competencies:
- Robust understanding of electrical fundamentals including control circuits, power circuits, and industrial wiring practices.
- Knowledge of control panel components such as MCBs, contactors, relays, SMPS, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo drives.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Basic understanding of PLC architecture, I/O systems, and industrial automation concepts (hands-on training will be provided).
- Familiarity with cable selection, termination practices, ferruling standards, and panel wiring discipline.
- Understanding of industrial safety standards, earthing systems, and electrical protection systems.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in wiring accuracy and panel quality.
- Good coordination and communication skills for working with cross-functional production teams.
- Willingness to learn PLC programming, machine automation, and advanced control systems.
- Ability to work under production timelines while maintaining quality and safety standards. Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- Experience: 0–1 Year of experience in Electrical Assembly, Panel Wiring, Industrial Automation, or Machine Manufacturing
- Freshers with strong practical exposure in panel wiring, electrical systems, or automation training will be preferred
- Candidates with exposure to PLC basics (Siemens / Delta / Mitsubishi) will have an added advantage Pay: ₹20,000.00
