Senior Project Manager – Drug Discovery About the Company An innovation-driven Tech Bio organisation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the advancement of its growing small molecule discovery pipeline. The company operates at the intersection of AI/ML technologies and drug discovery, leveraging computational approaches, molecular modelling, and scientific expertise to accelerate therapeutic development. With a collaborative and fast-paced workplace, the organisation is focused on progressing both internal and partnered programmes spanning novel small molecules and repurposing strategies. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in early-stage drug discovery to support executive leadership and cross-functional scientific teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving programme execution from target identification through preclinical development, with exposure to IND-enabling activities viewed favourably. This individual will work across scientific, operational, and external partner functions to ensure programmes progress efficiently against timelines, budgets, and strategic objectives.
This role would suit someone with experience operating in biotech, pharma, CRO, or Tech Bio environments who enjoys working within highly collaborative and scientifically driven organisations. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple small molecule discovery programmes simultaneously across early discovery and preclinical stages Coordinate cross-functional activities across scientific and operational teams Translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans, timelines, and deliverables Monitor programme progress, budgets, resources, and operational priorities Identify programme risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively Support communication and alignment between leadership teams, scientific stakeholders, and external partners/CROs Facilitate governance meetings, milestone tracking, and programme accountability Contribute to process improvements, operational efficiency, and scalable programme infrastructure Support resource planning and prioritisation across multiple projects Requirements Demonstrated experience within early-stage small molecule drug discovery environments Strong understanding of discovery workflows including hit identification, lead optimisation, and candidate profiling Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional scientific programmes Background within biotech, pharma, CRO, or Tech Bio organisations Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities Ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced environments Degree qualification in a relevant life sciences discipline preferred Additional Information Exposure to AI-enabled drug discovery environments would be advantageous Flexible working environment with strong long-term growth potential Opportunity to contribute to innovative therapeutic development programmes Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.in/job/4n5y3s
