Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB Ensure optimal performance and uptime of chocolate and wafer production machinery by leading proactive maintenance, rapid breakdown response, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Work closely with production and quality teams to minimise downtime, improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and maintain the mechanical integrity of all process equipment across the chocolate and wafer manufacturing lines. KEY EXPERIENCES & REQUIREMENTS
- 56 years of experience in maintenance engineering or process engineering within food, confectionery, FMCG, or related manufacturing sectors. May consider from AlcoBev or dairy/ice-cream as well.
- Hands-on expertise in breakdown analysis and corrective / preventive maintenance of chocolate enrobers, tempering machines, depositors, cooling tunnels, wafer baking ovens, and cream-mixing equipment.
- Proficiency in maintenance planning tools (CMMS/SAP PM) for scheduling preventive maintenance, raising work orders, and tracking mean-time-between-failures (MTBF).
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals: hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors, and high-speed rotating equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs;, and OEM manuals.
- Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing lasting corrective actions to prevent recurrence of breakdowns.
- Familiarity with food-safety and GMP requirements as they apply to engineering and maintenance activities on food-contact equipment.
- Preferred educational background: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
