Role & responsibilities
- Effective monitoring of 11kV/415 V HV/LV distribution network operations, identify areas of improvement and ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Strengthen O&M; processes with robust controls, and continuous performance improvement initiatives.
- Manage asset lifecycle, including modernization, replacements, and refurbishment.
- Flawless communication and precise reporting to senior management of all significant events at a departmental level.
- Monitor & ensure 100% compliance to all regulatory, legal and other requirements.
- Develop targets, KPIs and Action Plan for Annual Operating Plans and Mid-Term & Long-Term Plans in alignment with Company-Unit-Department level plans and objectives.
- Conducting monthly review to monitor performance parameters, and KPIs w.r.t. the targets and status of action points and initiatives planned for the period.
- Ensure that vendor and contractor are meeting the set performance benchmarks in terms of defined SLA and EHS objectives.
- Oversee the development and implementation of Business Continuity strategies and plans, review results of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Risk Assessments to guide the organizations continuity planning, ensuring potential major disruptions are addressed and support uninterrupted operations.
- Develop and execute strategies to reduce AT&C; losses and enhance key performance parameters including reliability Indices.
- Lead business process reengineering (BPR) across operations and maintenance targeted to ensure productive operations, optimization in resources & cost and reduction in Turn Around Time (TAT).
- Drive technology adoption, automation, and digitalization for improved transparency and productivity.
- Ensure implementation of all initiatives related to sustenance of IMS, 5S, EFQM business excellence framework, BSC 5 star specifications and other certifications and accreditation.
- Meticulously define and articulate the roles, responsibility, and accountability of the team.
- Achieve benchmark in departmental processes/ performance by encouraging and driving performance and new initiatives.
- Actively participating in the TNA/TNI for the existing team and ensure that the learning route map for the team members is adhered to.
- Develop annual and multi-year Capex plans aligned with business needs and regulatory expectations during MYT exercise.
- Drive R&M; planning, budgeting, execution, and monitoring with strict cost controls.
- Liaison with external authorities and agencies as per business requirement.
- Oversee grievance redressal systems, ensuring adherence to SLAs and regulatory timelines.
- Effectively manage & execute KPI for self & team with adherence to set standards of performance, quality, safety and other parameters as prescribed at an organizational level. Actively participating in the TNA/TNI for the existing team and ensure that the learning route map for the team members is adhered to.
- Review and endorse the results of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Risk Assessments to guide the organizations continuity planning. Preferred candidate profile
- B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with minimum 22 years of experience in Power Distribution.
- Good administrator, ability to manage multiple functions; setting- monitoring- achieving performance through judicious use of resources
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams / departments and effective management of stakeholders
- Tech-savvy and adaptive to the new age technology / digitisation of processes and reengineering of the business processes
- Develop and promote a safety culture and ensure wellbeing of the team.
