Senior Officer-Fire & Safety (Gujarat)

Purpose/Objective The Lead – Fire & Safety is responsible for ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and implementing effective safety protocols across all project sites and facilities. The role focuses on preventing fire-related incidents, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring the protection of personnel, assets, and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities of Role
- Develop, implement, and monitor fire safety policies and procedures in line with statutory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification related to fire and safety across project sites.
- Ensure compliance with local fire safety regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- Plan and conduct fire drills, safety training, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Inspect and ensure proper maintenance of fire protection systems (fire alarms, extinguishers, sprinkler systems, hydrants, etc. ).
- Lead investigations of fire incidents and near-miss cases, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with external agencies such as fire departments, safety auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Supervise and guide site safety officers and fire safety teams.
- Maintain proper documentation, reports, and compliance records related to fire safety.

- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Fire & Safety / Industrial Safety
- Diploma / Certification in Fire & Safety (Mandatory)
- Experience:- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in fire and safety management
- Experience in construction, real estate, infrastructure, or industrial projects preferred
- Skills & Competencies:- Robust knowledge of fire safety systems and safety regulations
- Good understanding of risk assessment and emergency response planning
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
