Key Responsibilities 1. Editing and Story Construction
- Edit long form and short form videos across YouTube and other social platforms.
- Shape narrative using pacing, pauses, and visual emphasis
- Cut for retention, not just continuity
- Identify solid hooks from raw footage
- Reduce fluff while preserving personality 2. Platform Adaptation
- Create separate edits for long form, Shorts, and reels when required
- Optimise first 5 to 15 seconds for viewer retention
- Understand visual density needed for different audiences
- Maintain clarity on mobile screens 3. Collaboration
- Work with strategists during scripting and shoot planning when required
- Coordinate with thumbnail designers for visual alignment
- Share improvement suggestions based on editing observations 4. Technical Delivery
- Manage audio cleanup, basic colour correction, and export settings
- Maintain organised project files for quick revisions
- Deliver within tight publishing schedules
- Required Skills
- Strong command of Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
- Good sense of pacing and viewer attention patterns
- Ability to work fast without messy timelines
- Understanding of dialogue editing and rhythm
- Familiarity with YouTube style storytelling Preferred Experience
- Experience editing creator led content
- After Effects knowledge
