Process Engineer (Gujarat)

Role and Responsibilities
- Review product drawing & reference standards given along with RFQ for manufacturing feasibility on given tolerances, standard references & machining areas identified, do process simulations & estimate cycle time, cutting tools required to determine manufacturing feasibility.
- Design and Development of Jigs & Fixtures for CNC Machine & Inspection Gauges
- Develop and support CNC machining processes that meet customer specifications. Including timing for new and existing products as well as meet customer cost targets.
- Participation in DFM activities and discussion with relevant stakeholders to improve product design and manufacturing methods that support more robust processes and improved quality.
- Estimate machining cycle times, tool selection, and judge feasibility to customer requirements.
- Selection of cutting tools needed and estimates tool life cycles/consumable needs.
- Lead continuous improvement activities including parameter improvement exercises, efficient design, training activities
- Lead automation to drive increased throughput, cycle times, and increased product yield
- Collaborate with Production on recent products and assists in the transition from prototype to high-rate production
- Expertise in implementing machine set-up and in-process probing to reduce variability, utilizing Statistical Process Control
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of process sheets and work instructions in support of manufacturing
