Roles and Responsibilities :
Own and lead the end-to-end Vulnerability Management lifecycle including discovery, assessment, risk-based prioritization, remediation tracking, and closure validation.
Define and enforce enterprise vulnerability management strategy, policies, SLAs, and governance aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee periodic vulnerability assessments across infrastructure, network, endpoints, applications, cloud, and OT environments.
Drive risk-based remediation by correlating vulnerabilities with asset criticality, threat intelligence, and exploitability.
Coordinate closely with SOC, Incident Response, IT, OT, Application, Cloud, and Network teams to ensure timely remediation and exception handling.
Establish dashboards and metrics to track vulnerability exposure, remediation SLAs, aging, and BU-wise compliance.
Lead executive and board-level reporting on vulnerability risk posture, trends, and improvement initiatives.
Manage vulnerability risk acceptance, compensating controls, and exception approvals.
Integrate vulnerability management with patch management, configuration management, and incident response processes.
Support audits, regulatory reviews, and cyber risk assessments.
Lead and mentor the Vulnerability Management team.
Job Requirements:
Technical Skills
Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7).
Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and CIS Benchmarks.
Exposure to OT/ICS vulnerability management.
Robust knowledge of OS, databases, network, cloud platforms.
Risk-based prioritization and CVSS scoring knowledge.
Integration with CMDB, ticketing, SOC tools.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Cybersecurity.
Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CEH, OSCP preferred.
10–15 years' experience with 5–7 years in Vulnerability Management.
Behavioral Skills
Solid leadership and accountability mindset.
Excellent executive communication skills.
Structured and outcome-driven approach.
