Description
Purpose/Objective The Business Development Manager-Tx is responsible for supporting the growth of the Transmission portfolio through both greenfield and brownfield expansion. The role focuses on driving long-term revenue optimization, engaging actively in TBCB bidding processes, and contributing to strategic business initiatives. By managing project execution and collaborating with various stakeholders, the Team Member helps position the Energy Solutions business as a leading player in the industry, enhancing profitability and market presence. Key Responsibilities of Role Business Development Manager-Tx Portfolio Growth and Expansion: Identify and evaluate growth opportunities by conducting market research, feasibility analyses, and competitor benchmarking, ensuring a continuous pipeline of potential business ventures, including greenfield and brownfield projects. Support strategic decision-making by assisting in due diligence activities, collaborating with legal, financial, and technical teams to comprehensively assess new business opportunities and acquisitions. Drive profitability by contributing to portfolio optimization strategies, analysing current assets, and identifying actionable opportunities to increase revenue and efficiency within business constraints. Strengthen market presence by engaging with relevant stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and industry experts, helping to align business expansion initiatives with market trends and regulatory requirements. Bidding and TBCB Process Management: Support the TBCB bidding process by assisting in the preparation of financial models, bid documents, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with regulatory standards. Minimize bid rejection risks by addressing clarifications from BPCs, resolving pre-bid queries in a timely manner, and ensuring that all submissions meet quality standards. Ensure timely submission of bids by managing the coordination of documents and information throughout the bid preparation lifecycle, ensuring deadlines are met. Market Intelligence and Competitive Positioning: Inform business strategy by gathering and analysing market intelligence, including competitor activities, regulatory changes, and industry trends, to guide business development initiatives and strategic decisions. Contribute to competitive bidding by supporting pre-bid analysis and providing market-based cost estimations, ensuring bid submissions are competitive and aligned with strategic business goals. Monitor market dynamics by identifying emerging threats and opportunities, helping the team stay ahead of industry shifts and adjust strategies to maintain a strong market position. Revenue and Financial Management: Contribute to revenue generation by assisting in the preparation and monitoring of resource budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet organizational objectives and financial targets. Enhance business profitability by tracking financial performance, identifying discrepancies, and suggesting corrective actions to keep the business on track for meeting or exceeding its financial goals. Support the bidding process by preparing tender documents, quotations, and financial models, ensuring compliance with industry standards and government regulations for all bids. Facilitate project execution by coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the specified quality standards. Stakeholder and Regulatory Management: Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and other external stakeholders, facilitating smooth business operations and securing the necessary approvals for new and ongoing projects. Support policy advocacy by staying informed about regulatory developments, ensuring the company remains compliant, and advocating for policy changes that align with business growth and profitability. Risk Management: Support risk assessments by analysing potential business opportunities and providing senior management with informed inputs on investment decisions, ensuring that risks are mitigated at the outset. Assist in compliance management by ensuring that project documentation and reporting are accurate, minimizing regulatory and operational risks throughout the project lifecycle. Key Stakeholders

E. /B. Tech. , MBA preferred. Work Experience (Range of years): 10-15 years of experience in business development, preferably in the energy sector.
