Assistant Professor Mathematics Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview The Assistant Professor in Mathematics will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, mentoring students, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in research and academic activities. The candidate should possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. Key Responsibilities Academic Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Mathematics and allied subjects.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct lectures, tutorials, laboratory/practical sessions (where applicable), and student mentoring.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain academic records. Research & Development
- Conduct quality research and publish papers in reputed journals/conferences.
- Apply for research grants, funded projects, and consultancy assignments.
- Encourage innovation, interdisciplinary learning, and research culture among students. Curriculum & Academic Administration
- Contribute to curriculum design and revision as per NEP/UGC guidelines.
- Participate in academic planning, accreditation, and quality assurance activities.
- Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, FDPs, guest lectures, and academic events. Student Development
- Guide students for projects, internships, competitions, and higher studies.
- Support students in remedial teaching and academic counseling.
- Promote analytical thinking and problem-solving skills among students. Institutional Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental and university committees.
- Support admission, examination, and accreditation-related activities.
- Maintain discipline, ethics, and skilled standards within the institution. Eligibility Criteria / Job Specification Educational Qualification
- Masters Degree in Mathematics with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
- NET/SLET/SET qualification preferred as per UGC norms.
- Ph.D. in Mathematics or pursuing Ph.D. will be preferred. Experience
- Freshers with excellent academic background may apply.
- Prior teaching/research experience in higher education institutions will be an added advantage. Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Pure and Applied Mathematics.
- Effective teaching and presentation skills.
