Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chinese Chef to join our hotel kitchen team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic Chinese cuisine, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques, sauces, wok preparation, and presentation standards in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes including appetizers, soups, noodles, rice, and main courses. Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes. Handle wok cooking and other Chinese cooking techniques efficiently. Monitor food preparation and portion control as per hotel standards. Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen. Check freshness and quality of ingredients before use. Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth day-to-day operations. Assist in menu planning and development of new Chinese dishes. Ensure proper storage and inventory management of kitchen supplies. Follow hotel policies, safety regulations, and SOPs. Minimize food wastage and control kitchen costs.
Required Skills & Qualifications Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management preferred. Proven experience as a Chinese Chef in hotels, restaurants, or hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, sauces, seasonings, and cooking methods. Expertise in wok cooking and Chinese kitchen operations. Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to work in a quick-paced environment and under pressure. Team player with positive communication skills.
Experience Required 3 – 5 years of experience in Chinese cuisine within the hotel or restaurant industry.
