Data Engineer (Tharamani)

Job Title: Data Engineer Experience: 8 – 12 Years Location: Chennai Primary Skills: Real-Time Streaming (Flink / Java / Kafka) Secondary Skills: Cloudera Platform Engineering Job Description We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in real-time streaming technologies and event-driven architectures. The ideal candidate should have deep technical knowledge in building high‑performance distributed systems and experience working in complex data ecosystems. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop event-driven and real-time streaming applications using Flink / Java / Kafka.
- Optimize application performance through JVM tuning and efficient coding practices.
- Build, deploy, and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Work with caching systems—experience in Redis is preferred.
- Perform Linux OS configuration, scripting, and automation using Shell scripting.
- Apply software design patterns and best practices across systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams and follow CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed and scalable service environments. Required Skills
- Strong coding experience in Java and hands-on experience with Apache Flink and Kafka.
- Understanding of real-time streaming systems and event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of Cloudera platform engineering (HDFS, Hive, HBase, Impala, etc.).
- Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and container orchestration.
- Experience working in Linux-based environments. Good to Have
- Exposure to Redis or similar caching systems.
- Experience with logs/metrics monitoring in distributed pipelines. Education Qualification
