Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret coronary angiography and conduct primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in acute coronary syndrome cases.
- Insert temporary and permanent cardiac pacemakers, including device programming and follow-up management.
- Administer thrombolysis in accordance with clinical guidelines for acute myocardial infarction.
- Provide immediate and effective emergency cardiac care, including management of arrhythmias, heart failure, and cardiogenic shock.
- Conduct pericardial tapping (pericardiocentesis) for the diagnosis and treatment of pericardial effusion and cardiac tamponade.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including ICU, radiology, and cardiac surgery, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and participate in regular case reviews and audits.
- Engage in on-call duties for emergency cardiac interventions and acute cardiac events.
- Mentor junior medical staff and contribute to clinical training and continuous professional development initiatives.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiology through research, conferences, and skilled certifications.
Requirements:
- MBBS degree with MD/DM in Cardiology or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Minimum of 1 year of post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital or tertiary care setting.
- Proven proficiency in coronary angiography and primary PCI with documented case volume.
- Hands-on experience in temporary and permanent pacemaker insertion and management.
- Demonstrated competence in thrombolysis administration and emergency cardiac care protocols.
- Experience in performing pericardial tapping with ultrasound guidance is highly desirable.
- Strong diagnostic, decision-making, and procedural skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and evidence-based medicine.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and emergency response.
