Role & responsibilities Role Overview We are seeking a energetic and result-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead and expand our Institutional Sales operations in Guwahati and the Northeast region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring and managing institutional clients such as hospitals, educational institutions, government bodies, corporate offices, and large enterprises. The candidate should possess strong relationship-building skills, strategic thinking ability, and a proven track record in B2B or institutional sales. Key Responsibilities
• Identify, target, and acquire new institutional clients across the assigned territory
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers (Procurement Heads, Admin Managers, Purchase Officers, etc.)
• Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations
• Manage tender participation, documentation, pricing negotiations, and contract finalization
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify new business opportunities
• Ensure timely collections and payment follow-ups from institutional clients
• Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Supply Chain) to ensure smooth execution of orders
• Maintain accurate records of sales pipeline, forecasts, and client interactions in CRM
• Represent the company at trade exhibitions, conferences, and institutional meetings Required Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
• 3-8 years of experience in Institutional Sales / B2B Sales / Corporate Sales
• Strong network within the Assam institutional market preferred
• Experience in handling government tenders and institutional procurement processes
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools Key Competencies
